not a single drop dribbles or clings to the nose

I recently purchased the Nanbu Hiramaru teapot and have been truly impressed by its craftsmanship. The design is exquisitely balanced—elegant in form and proportion, with a timeless beauty that speaks to traditional Japanese aesthetics. The deep blue finish is especially attractive, lending it a refined and calming presence on any table.

One of the most practical features is the lid: it fits securely and doesn’t fall off during pouring, which is a common issue with many other teapots. Another highlight is the pouring precision. The spout is perfectly designed—when pouring, not a single drop dribbles or clings to the nose of the teapot. It’s an incredibly clean experience.

However, I did notice one issue. While drying the teapot with a towel, I found that some of the blue color rubs off, leaving faint residues. It’s a bit disappointing, as the color is one of its most beautiful features, and I hope it doesn’t fade over time.

Overall, the Hiramaru is a beautiful and thoughtfully crafted teapot—both a pleasure to use and to look at.
