Matcha bowls are specifically designed for enjoying matcha, a finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves. Traditionally, it is prepared by whisking the tea with hot water in a bowl known as chawan or o-chawan. The bowl is then brought to the drinker's mouth, and the tea is poured and consumed.
